Dr. Cengiz Günay is the Vice Director of the oiip as well as senior researcher and lecturer at the University of Vienna. His fields of research are Islamism, state reforms, democratization processes, and foreign policy. His regional focus lies on Turkey, the Arab Middle East and Euro-Mediterranean relations. Cengiz Günay has published a wide range of articles, analyses and policy papers on these questions. He also consults state agencies and comments on Turkey and the ME in national and international media.
