Aaron Gruber, BA studies International Development at the University of Vienna, where he is also a tutor for Transdisciplinary Development Research as well as for Theories of Science and Critique of Scientific Practices. Among his main areas of interest are critical political economy and global trade and investment policies. His regional focus lies on China’s foreign policy and on the Western Balkans. He is writing his master’s thesis on the influence of Chinese infrastructure projects on Serbia’s foreign policy orientation. His research focuses on changing political constellations in the international system and on old and new transnational class alliances. At oiip, he is currently working on a project on political succession in competitive authoritarian regimes, particularly in Serbia.
