Carsten Minh Vo is a recent graduate Master’s in Global Security from the University of Glasgow in Scotland, and he also has a bachelor’s degree in Geography and Geoinformatics from the University of Copenhagen, where he spent a semester at the University of Washington, Seattle. His academic interest areas are geopolitics, and strategic studies, where he has particularly been focusing on geoeconomics and the geopolitics of industrial policy. His master’s thesis was on geopolitical competition’s effects on state behavior towards the global political economy. Additionally, Carsten has experience as a research assistant at the University of Washington, where he researched the adaptation of digital banking systems and international development. At the oiip he will be working on contemporary Chinese Foreign and Security policy with Dr. Thomas Eder and Dr. Cengiz Günay.
