Leila Cavalic completed her bachelor’s degree in political science at the University of Vienna and wrote her thesis about the failed UN peacekeeping mission in Bosnia. Her main subjects were political theory, international politics, and Europeanization, among others. During her internship at the Permanent Representation of Austria to the EU in 2022, she dealt intensively with the security policy of the EU and hybrid threats. She´s currently writing her master’s degree in political science at the University of Vienna and additionaly she´s studying the master in International Relations & Urban Studies at the FH Campus. In both studies, she is focusing on international politics and the topic of corruption. As she is originally from Bosnia, she is particularly interested in the political tensions between the Balkan states. From this point of view, she would like to analyze the dimensions of corruption in Bosnia empirically with qualitative and quantitatively methods.
