Cody-June Cunningham, MA, is a Scottish Erasmus Mundus student in International Security, Intelligence and Strategic Studies. During her master’s degree she studied at University of Glasgow, Dublin City University and Charles University Prague. At oiip, Cody is writing her dissertation on pre and post Brexit speech and the correlation to the rise of right-wing extremism in the UK. Cody holds an honours degree in Philosophy form Edinburgh University in Scotland where she specialised in feminist, existentialist ethics, and political philosophy; some of which was honed with a year spent abroad at Sydney University, Australia. In her honour’s thesis, she applied Kuhnian scientific ‘paradigm-shifts’ to the progression of pornography and the feminist security and ethics associated with such. Her main research interests are radicalisation, migration, and gender security.
