Ekaterina Ovchinnikova, MA is currently a student of the Erasmus Mundus Master in International Security, Intelligence and Strategic Studies, in the universities of Glasgow, Trento and Prague. She holds an MA in International Protection of Human Rights, by the University of Alcala, and a Double BA in International Relations and Journalism, by the University King Juan Carlos, Madrid, Spain. Her main research areas are related to Human Rights, democratization, migration, and asylum. In her master’s thesis, Ekaterina addressed the human rights protection of unaccompanied migrant children at the Spanish-Moroccan border. During her internship at OIIP, she is focusing on human rights in Croatia, in relation to migration and asylum.
