Anya McCrimmon MA is a second year Masters student on the Erasmus Mundus International Masters in Security, Intelligence, and Strategic Studies. She holds an MA in German and International Relations from the University of Aberdeen. As part of her studies Anya wrote her thesis on the role of cyclical reporting of Government, the media and the public in the disproportionate impacts of the UK’s counter-terrorism policy on Muslim Communities in the UK. Her topics of interest are in counter-terrorism, political violence, political Islam and far-right extremism. At the oiip, Anya will be working under Dr. Daniela Pisoiu researching EU counter-terrorism policy and its impact on the international order.
