Roman Rudenko is a research associate at the oiip. He holds a master’s degree in political science from the University of Vienna. His research interests lie at the intersection of transnational social movements and migration. At the oiip he focuses on protest culture and activism, social inclusion, and civic action of Ukrainian migrants and refugees in EU countries, especially in Austria and the Czech Republic.

Prior to joining the oiip, Roman Rudenko gained professional experience as a research assistant at the University of Vienna and the Danube University Krems in the field of innovative approaches to deliberative democracy practices. He also supported a research project on refugee integration pathways in Austria at the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD).
