After about one and a half years, negotiations between Greek and Turkish Cypriots with the aim of ending the almost half-a-century old division of the Mediterranean Island are expected to restart soon. So far, the parties involved have not been able to agree on a formula settling thorny issues such as governance, property or territory. This event will depict the current state of affairs in the negotiations and scrutinize the prospects for a resolution of the Cyprus issue while giving special consideration to the expectations and preferences of people on both sides of the Green Line and examining wider regional implications of the dispute.
